Hugh B. Harris

SHAREHOLDER

Hugh has been a Shareholder in the firm since 2020. His practice focuses nearly exclusively on the defense of businesses and individuals across a wide range of civil matters in both State and Federal Courts and Administrative Boards. Hugh has defended civil suits from the pre-suit investigation stage through trial. Currently, the majority of his litigated cases fall within one of the following practice areas:


- Commercial Transportation

- Medical Malpractice

- Products Liability

- Premises Liability and Negligent Security

- Construction Defect

- General Liability

- Non-medical Professional Liability.
Hugh’s practice also focuses on advising property and casualty insurers and third-party administrators in coverage matters as well as the defense of extra-contractual, bad faith, and breach of contract suits.


Hugh is admitted to practice before all federal and state courts in Alabama and the Alabama Board of Pharmacy. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar Health Law Section and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. He has been selected as a Mid-South Super Lawyer® Rising Star from 2020-2023.


Hugh is married to Anne Lyle Harris and they have three daughters. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family and coaching his daughters' sports teams .
