In October of 2019, James A. Potts, II and John Thomas Salmon tried a breach of contract and negligence action in the Circuit Court of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama before the Hon. M. Bradley Almond. Factually, the case involved the construction of a new home in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Although the jury returned a verdict for the plaintiff and awarded $5,000 on the breach-of-contract claim, the judgment was substantially less than the $233,000 award requested by the plaintiff in her closing argument.
